PUC Proves Worth in Bench Test

"Overall, I was impressed with the ease of operation and sonic performance of the PUC" says Stephen Murphy, former editor of Pro Audio Review magazine, and engineer/producer with 20 years experience in audio, radio and video production.

The PUC is truly plug-and-play in that it requires no installation of drivers other than those automatically loaded by the host operating system.

Electronically balanced analog audio I/O is provided through Neutrik XLR-F and XLR-M stereo pairs. Digital audio I/O is through a pair of heavy-duty RCA connectors (SCMS-enabled SPDIF format). Yellowtec also offers an AES/EBU version of the PUC.

GPI controllable features also include: zero latency monitoring (ZLM), which feeds the signal appearing at the analogue inputs directly to the analogue outputs, bypassing computer processing delay; digital bypass (BYP) ... and internal level (INT LVL), which sets the analogue level to the standard 0 dBFS = +18 dBu.
